The Rune-Lords of Carven Cleft

A mountain split by retribution and guarded by gallantry. A fate undone by hubris, curiosity and disdain. As the characters approach this barren land of sand, dust and ash, a gentle figure advises against the meddling of adventure inside the ruins of Carven Cleft, the burial site of the ancient Rune-Lords.

Not only the soul of all that die among the etched crevice are forever bound to this place, but their bodies too are commanded to enact its revengeful scorn.

However, to the chosen ones who manage to break, or survive, the cursed unbecoming of the marked trench and its trials, the Rune-Tablets of the forebearers of this knowledge can be wielded by any brave enough to do so.

• A five room dungeon, submitted for the Appendix N Jam, with a different challenge in each main room which can be completed in any order the players choose to do so.
• Compatible with any OSR system, even with a flair of ICRPG in its skeleton.
• Better played with 4 or more players.
